Apply until February 20th for the TGB Programmes

The Covid-19 pandemic will have far-reaching effects on the international economy and local markets in the long term. Companies are therefore challenged to find sales markets and growth opportunities despite the current situation. With our newly established business development programmes, The Good Business (TGB) supports innovative entrepreneurs in developing and implementing such growth concepts. Our initiative is focused on sustainable companies whose products and services have positive impact on the environment and society. In a 10-week coaching, the participating entrepreneurs are individually supervised by local and international experts and supported through training, mentoring and financing assistance.

Tailored to the Needs of Start-ups and SMEs
TGB will start with two programs launching simultaneously in Ethiopia. The TGB Accelerator is aimed at start-ups and the TGB Evolver has been set up for SMEs. The program concepts are adapted to the different needs and initial situations of these groups of companies. The programme units were developed in cooperation with the Ethiopian Innovation Hub and Tech Start-up Incubator iceaddis and the Berlin campus of ESCP Business School. The content is dynamic and tailored to the individual topics, problems and needs of the participants. By combining training and mentoring with selected experts in groups or individual sessions, connecting to international business networks and the option of investor contacts, we aim to help companies implement a long-term successful business strategy to improve products, services and sales. In addition, TGB Accelerator and TGB Evolver participants have the prospect of receiving funding worth up to 225,000 Br and 450,000 Br respectively.

Apply until February 20th

The application deadline for both TGB programs is February 20th, 2021. Applications are open to Ethiopian-based companies in the Food & Nutrition, Style & Leisure, and Health & Wellbeing sectors whose products and services make an impact contribution to the environment and society.

The TGB programmes are supported by the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Special Initiative, which also operates under the brand Invest for Jobs, is implemented among others by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. TGB is being implemented by the NOAH Foundation in cooperation with iceaddis and ESCP Business School.
