Bamboo Labs is a social enterprise in Ethiopia, which meets the growing demand for sustainable and accessible mobility in Addis Ababa by producing bamboo wheelchairs and bike frames. Bamboo is a highly renewable, sustainable and easy to grow resource in Africa and 70% of the African Bamboo is grown in Ethiopia.
Berbera market is an Ethiopian e-commerce platform, offering hand-crafted products of small fashion brands, based in Ethiopia. The platform is led by a team of young and creative entrepreneurs, sharing their digital experience to help local artisans getting more reach and local and international customers through the online platform.
The Goat Café is a conceptual coffee place in Ethiopia with the goal to disrupt the mainstream coffee consumption and offering it’s costumers a new approach on coffee and coffee-lifestyle. Tuba design and manufacturing trading PLC (Tuba Ethiopia) is a social business offering the best quality and environmentally friendly bags and backpacks made of natural cotton and leather. The brand was founded in 2019 to create innovative job opportunities for unemployed women and young people in Ethiopia.
Yonael Marga is a slow fashion brand based in Ethiopia, focusing on custom-made and ready-to-wear as well as conceptual fashion and art projects. The Designs are inspired by African unity, independence and historical and cultural awareness. The brand aims to scale-up their business, get international reach and venture into e-commerce.
Fili Coffee is a café and one of the leading speciality coffee roasters based in Addis Ababa, which sources and roasts some of the highest quality Arabica coffee from different regions of Ethiopia and delivers to coffee shops, bistros, restaurants and cafés in the region. By hosting events and workshops for young people in Ethiopia to start their own business, they support local talents and offer internships, which helped already 12 entrepreneurs to open their own café.
Kushineta Skateboard Manufacturing PLC was founded in 2019 by four passionate skateboarders as the first licensed Ethiopian manufacturer of skateboards and streetwear. Besides producing boards, apparel and leather products they also provide skateboarding lessons to empower young people in Ethiopia.
Maleda crafts is a social enterprise that manufactures handmade bags, footwear and rags by using recycled plastic bags and textile cut-outs. The brand's production has no environmental impact and creates jobs for women and youth in the Ethiopian community.
Afropian is a lifestyle brand for accessories and interior products with the goal to showcase the diversity of creativity in Africa. The brand motto "Wear Africa Proudly" is reflected in a 100% handmade product range, produced by artisans based all over Africa and brought together in Ethiopia.
